Direct deposit lets your paycheck or benefits arrive automatically in your account without needing to deposit a check.
If you can, do this first
Confirm what your payer needs
Your employer or benefits provider may ask for:
- Bank name
- Routing number (or equivalent)
- Account number
- Account type (checking/savings)
Some also require a signed direct deposit form.
Set up direct deposit
You can usually complete setup by:
- Filling out your employer/provider’s direct deposit form, or
- Using a direct deposit setup flow in the Mobile App (if available)
Verify your first deposit
First deposits can take time depending on payroll schedules. If your deposit doesn’t arrive as expected:
- Confirm the account and routing numbers were entered correctly
- Ask your employer/provider when the deposit was sent
- Check whether a prenote (test deposit) period applies
FAQ
How long does direct deposit take to start?
Often 1–2 pay cycles, depending on your employer/provider.
Can I split my paycheck between two accounts?
Many employers support split deposits. Ask your payroll team what they allow.
What if I entered the wrong account number?
Contact support as soon as possible. The deposit may be rejected and returned, but timing depends on the payer.
